Trusted builders.
Your home in
good hands.
We're Pollendine Ltd, local, family-run builders in Cambridge, now in our third generation, evolved from Pollendine Builders to the business we are today, and we still treat every home like it's our own.
We specialise in all aspects of building, with extensive experience on period homes and listed buildings, from extensions and loft conversions to home renovations, period home renovations and general home maintenance and repairs.
Whatever you need, we turn up, we listen, and we get it right.
A few homes we've loved working on.
Every project starts with someone's home and a cup of tea round the kitchen table. Here's a taste of what we've brought to life recently.
Extension
We extended this existing property to give the family the extra space and room they needed. New brickwork was matched carefully to the original, with a glazed corner bringing in plenty of natural light, finished off with a smart new patio outside.
Period & Listed Building Renovation
This listed building renovation needed sympathetic, careful work. We repaired and replaced sections of structural timber frame, wattle & daub, preserving its character whilst working to listed building and conservation standards.
Bathroom Renovation
Out with the old, in with the new — a full bathroom renovation with a strip-out, fresh tiling and cosy underfloor heating.
Landscaping needs
All of your garden needs — we've handmade oak pergolas, luxury decking with lighting, and even built Victorian-style greenhouses, plus full garden redesigns.
Loft Conversion
A growing family needed an extra bedroom. We turned an unused loft space into a large open plan bedroom with en-suite. Plenty of natural light was brought in with Velux windows.
General Home Maintenance
We pop by throughout the year to keep an eye on guttering, paintwork and the little jobs, so nothing turns into a big one.
No surprises, just good work.
